Side and rear glass is different from a windshield. Here is what to expect.
Side windows are tempered glass, so they shatter into small pieces instead of cracking. Replacement means vacuuming the door cavity, installing new glass on the regulator, and testing the window motor. Most common models are same or next day.
Rear windows are usually tempered and carry the defroster grid and sometimes the antenna. We replace the glass, reconnect the defroster and antenna, and clean the glass out of the trunk and seats.
